Bio

Brad Nuorala graduated from the University of Wisconsin Superior with a BS degree in art and art education and an MA degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, WI with a major in painting and a minor in sculpture.

 

Upon graduation, Brad taught art in Madison, WI and Golden Valley HS in Minnesota. In 1994 Brad was named Minnesota Art Educator and the Western Art Educator of the year. He retired from Hopkins HS in Minnesota after teaching for 37 years.  Upon retirement, Brad served as the Admissions Director for the Minneapolis College of Art and Design for a year. During his time in Minnesota, Brad was the Superintendent of the Fine Arts Building at the Minnesota State Fair, where he was in charge of curating the largest exhibit of art in Minnesota.

 

In 2010, Brad moved to Oro Valley, AZ. Being retired, allowed Brad to devote more time to painting.  He has exhibited in Minnesota and Arizona, as well as participating in juried exhibitions. In 2017 Brad was commissioned to do three works for Urban Chalet Design. His work is included in numerous corporate and private collections, including Honeywell Incorporated, Prudential Insurance Co., Twin Cities Federal Banking and Savings, Anderson Consulting, Twin Cities Dental and the Wiseman Museum of Art, Minneapolis, MN.
